Who Are We?

| June 4, 2023

Yes, Lord! Do it again! This week, let's cast a little vision. As a faith community, what gets us most excited? How has God shaped us uniquely for this time in history? How are we fulfilling the Great Commission, and how are we loving our city well? Focusing on what it means to be the Church as God has crafted it, we'll step back and take some time to remember who we are as we move forward into a new chapter in the life of our "sweet communion." I can't wait to talk vision and pray together with you as we worship the One who makes it all worth it!

Epic Youth Sunday

| February 26, 2023

This week, we are led in worship by our Epic Students. They have been hard at work preparing, and are excited to share their gifts with you. Taylor Williams, our student pastor, will bring us a special message through Matthew 25, and fresh vision and call for us to lean into intergenerational ministry. We are called to be unstuck, unafraid, and unleashed to pour into each other's lives and go after all God has for the whole body of believers.

Come with an expectant heart and be ready for a wonderful time of worship together

Peter Pereira

| January 8, 2023

This Sunday, we welcome Peter Pereira, our long-time mission partner and friend. Peter and Esther have spent their ministry serving Christ both in the U.S. and southeast Asia, where they care especially for those in poverty through basic needs, education, vocational and leadership training. Their work is deeply rooted in a hunger to see every person come to know life and truth through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Peter has been a particularly strong voice in our ministry, speaking encouragement into our community. This Sunday, he will bring a prophetic word around unleashing, freedom, and how God is using both women and men to spread the good news. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

New Improved Year Resolution

| January 3, 2022

A new year is an incredibly hopeful thing for me. It isn't just that we get to try again, but that we can be hopeful about what's ahead. And I am a fan of hope! Hope is probably what encourages New Year resolutions, but is that the best way to welcome hope into our lives? Especially since most of us end up dropping them by mid-January, it seems as if resolutions can be counter-productive. And as Steve Moore shares with us this week, they may not even be biblical. What if we focus instead in the person of Christ, rather than the work of life? That's where we'll be this Sunday as we begin the Year of Sweet Communion.

Love God, Love Others

| November 14, 2021

Do you remember "normal" family holidays? Me, neither. We are all grieving the loss of our old "normals," some of which may never return. But the good news is that the space created gives room for us to find some new "normals" -- things that feed our souls and help us connect more deeply with God and each other. At Mosaic, we're doing just that. We're looking for new "normals" that feed our relationship with God and that breed life and joy into our community. This Sunday, we'll talk about how we can intentionally sow good practices into our holidays so we can welcome the mystery in ways that refresh and renew.

Love Always

| October 17, 2021

We are thrilled to welcome Lo Alaman to Mosaic this Sunday. Those who have been to New Room know just what a treat we're in for. Lo is a speaker, spoken word poet, pastor, preacher, and all-round awesome guy. He is the author of We Sang A Dirge -- a book of poems powerfully capturing our nation's year of lament. Lo's poetry, messages, and his whole life minister Christ into every moment. We are truly honored to have him with us to pour into our Epic students and share with us on Sunday.

The Audacious Claim of Generosity

| January 31, 2021

There are signs of hope budding in the world. We've been holed up and thinking in survival terms for so long, but things are looking up. The vaccine is making its way into our lives. The angriest among us seem to have taken a break from national unrest. Our beautiful southern spring will be here soon. Meanwhile, bills have been paid, food has been on the table, most of us have kept our jobs. Even those of us who haven't can say with the writer of Acts that "God's grace has been powerfully at work among us." So how do we respond to that grace? Perhaps it is time to cultivate a generous spirit toward life again. This Sunday, we'll talk about that as we learn from the example of the first-century church how to flourish in the storm.
